AN ARTIST’S DUTY … IS TO REFLECT THE TIMES

-NINA SIMONE

With over 40 years of combined experience in organizing, cultural work, training facilitation and storytelling workshops, Las Cafeteras have built the skills and networks necessary to use the Arts as a hammer to shape the present for a more Just future.

Our work is intersectional using various mediums to support immigrant rights, gender and trans justice, environmental justice, BLM Solidarity, just to name a few. Over the last 10 years, we have partnered with Social Justice organizations to reach the hearts and minds of our communities for Just causes.

The movement for Peace & Justice has always been filled with music, and we intend to be part of the Soundtrack.

Some of our partnerships include;

Community Coalition, CHIRLA, Big Bowl of Ideas, Poder Latinx, Advancement Project, UNIDOS, Latino Health Foundation, LA Phil (YOLA), Center For Cultural Power, #NOPrisons, SANKOFA, Seed The Vote, Voto Latino, Rock the Vote, New Georgia Project, Jewish Coalition for Immigrant Justice
