Thanks to all for your support, we exceeded our goal of raising $11,000 dollars.  Through our kickstarter campaign, we raised $12,590 dollars. Let me say that again, we raised $12,590 dollars!!!  Our flights to New York are now booked.  We finally have enough funds to mix & master our 1st studio album, get them printed and in your hands this Summer. We are truly blessed to be supported by our community.

The kickstarter campaign was kicked off with our beautiful friend and mentor Victor Narro, at his one year anniversary celebration.  He very generously donated his gifts to go towards our kickstarter goal.  Mid-campaign, Las Cafeteras hosted one of the most beautiful events of our musical journey at the hypnotizing gallery, Tropico de Nopal.  We were joined by our homies, Irene Diaz, Fernanda Ulibarri, Euguene Toala, and La Chamba who shared their energy and music infusing the space.  Las Cafeteras then concluded the night with the overwhelming support from all in attendance.  The event at Tropico de Nopal pushed our Kickstarter goal towards the final stretch.

Finally, while Leah and David were traveling the American southwest, Denise was in New York for a race and ethnicity in higher ed. conference, Daniel was at a theater of the oppressed conference in San Francisco, Cano in Oxnard, and Hector and Annette holding down the fort in Los Angeles, we received word that we crossed the finish line.  That we successfully reached our goal.  That we would in fact be heading to New York for the Latin Alternative Music Conference.  That we would FINALLY be releasing our first ever studio recording, “IT’S TIME”, before summer’s end.

We did it!!
